Elite / Frontier Frontier Hyperdrive handling?

Hello!

This is a question I've always had: how is the hyperspace implemented in Frontier Elite and First Encounters?

1) When you launch from a space station you're always aimed toward a virtual center, in fact if you jump right away in hyperspace you emerge facing the same direction. This is not always true if you jump when you're flying in free space (I hope I'm clear enough, I can't describe it in English very well..)

2) When you're following someone in hyperspace, your exit clouds are in the same place. The question is: is the exit point fixed, random or real? I mean, if I jump 1.AU away from my target cloud, am I going to exit 1 A.U his exit cloud or not?

3) Is there any way, even through hacking, to force the hyperspace exit coordinates? I think it would be fun :)

Thank you!

Bye!

I don't really care how it works, just that elite4 should work in the same way (and with FE2 design (dophler effect?), FFE tried to look like Star Wars *yack*) I love the freedom, and I don't want any jumpgates place (strategic) away from the spacestation to give pirates time to attack me. I like the idea in Frontier where there is a safety distance which the pirates/hitmen takes advantage of.

I agree, I think that Frontier was a far superior game to First Encounters. First Encounters just felt and looked wrong and in my opinion was too much of a departure to what the Elite universe should've been like. It lost all the nice clean lines and interesting ship design. The cockpit was infinately better in Frontier as well.
