frontier launcher vs steam?

as the title says... i'm using the frontier one right now and have since alpha, but have installed steam for the vive... i like that you can pair your phone in steam... is that the only real main tech advantage...? should i bother? what are others opinions...?

I've been using the SteamVR pretty much exclusively for the Vive as I find I occasionally need to re-do the settings, or the Vive will sometimes forget about a controller etc. That seems to work much better for the Vive.

For the Rift, it seems to work better without SteamVR in that it launches more cleanly but once you're in, it's not problem. I do like the audio switching that SteamVR does - that's very handy.

thank you for your response, did you have to reinstall to use steam vr? or copy the files from the old frontier install to where ever needed for steam vr?

You can request a Steam key from Frontier, or under the games menu you can use add a non steam game to your library option.

Ah, found it, thanks..

I started this game via Steam but soon after that I purchased a life time pass so I uninstalled the steam version and I do not want to go back to that and beside that I read a few Vive owners that playing the Frontier install is better, I don't have my Vive yet so what I say is only from hear say and read.
