Frontier planning 4th product.

To be honest this is just another example of how with Frontiers silence players are left to jump to conclusions based on whatever scraps of information are available.

I find it interesting how Star Citizens super transparent approach certainly hasn't hurt their bottom line and has been effective in helping to stop unhelpful speculation

No more Frontier Development games for me until they make Elite a good game.

Frontier goes to the masses.

Star Citizen goes to a very demanding community in gameplay and details and focus on it to make a very solid product.

Now all they need to do is dampen down the unhelpful speculation regarding the game release date :)

Noticed on the frontier developments website that planning is underway for a fourth product to begin development next year.

Meh.

That was already mentioned some time ago, can´t recall where exactly but probably some reports during 2016. Similar slides. The plan seems to be to grow the number of franchises indeed. Seems like something a game development company would do.

I presume it all depends on commercial success of previous franchises etc. Question still is how many more franchises, and at what precise intervals. One per year seems a bit too fast imo.

People using Star Citizen as an example of how they'd like Frontier to communicate? Pure comedy...

TIL some people actually prefer to be lied to. ;)

I think it's been mentioned as the plan since way back before they floated.

Oh great. Frontier is working on something else to take their minds off of Elite. As soon as I read the thread topic I noticed a marked performance decrease in my game client. It's all doom and gloom from this point on.

/sarcasm

Hmm, it seems ED revenue was used to support the development of Planet Coaster. While I appreciate it's not good for any company to have all its eggs in one basket, I didn't buy ED cosmetics to support Planet Coaster (which isn't released on my favoured platform for a start).
