Frontier, please add the player position (x/y/z) for SRV and supercruise to the Netlog

Hi,

I am the creator of the Trade Computer Extension and I like to point out, that the position output of a player (RelX/RelY/RelZ) when using an SRV is not written into the netlog file.

Background:
While flying around a planet (non-supercruise), the Netlog outputs continuously the RelX/RelY/RelZ position data. When landing at a site, the Journal log produces a latitude and longitude value, but when moving with a SRV, sadly no data is written to track. So it would be nice to have the position output while driving a SRV.

Currently, the data is written into the Netlog every 3 km of position change, so it would be nice to have a timebased interval, instead of a distance-based approach.

Bringing it to the top it would also be nice to have the position data of a player while in supercruise, but it could be too much, to think of :).

TCE contains a Minimap and a Planetary Map feature, which shows the player the relative position to installations on a planet. These added data would make planetary exploration less "tiring"

Thank you for reading and considering!

PS: I raised a bug report here: https://forums.frontier.co.uk/showthread.php?t=332281
Maybe Frontier adds more data, if enough players are requesting it. Feel free to add a comment to the request.

I really want to see a means to plot a longitude/latitude position on a planet as a beacon to fly to. I know where there are certain persistent POI's that have no nav point and I hate having to fly around a planet trying to find specific coordinates every time I go there. It's not really a big request but would help a lot of players find things they need without the tedious watching of X/Y coordinates on a ship moving at thousands of meters per second. If you know exactly where the place is, it makes things a lot more boring when you still have to search for it every time.

TCE supports that already, you can add a location marker with the exact lat/long values at the Planetary Map panel of TCE and when returning to the planet, going down into normal cruise, you can see the distance and heading to find the location again.
But currently it is more like a supercruise hopping to get closer and closer to the stored location, which is not what I want, but the lat/long output of the player position from the netlog is only available in non-supercruise/SRV.

When reaching the location, enter SRV and then you have to align with the lat/long value to reach exactly the location, you wanted.

It's a little tricky, but it works.
