The Falcon Heavy rocket launched a tesla car into an elliptical Earth-Mars orbit today.
Launching anything beyond low Earth orbit is an achievement.
To be the first private enterprise to do it is huge.
To do it with reusable rockets changes everything.
Christ this didnt take long.

You don’t see the first non-government funded (mostly) deep space launch a worthy historical event? You don’t see the first successful launch vehicle to use 27 simultaneous rocket engines to be worthy? Or is it that you don’t think the arrogant jerk who runs the company is deserving of it?

I'd say making interplanetary space flight commercially viable is a pretty big deal.

No, I somewhat agree of the importance of the event itself, reusable rockets and the fact that it was an enterprise project rather than govt one, however I don't like the self promotion for his car company and I don't think we need a permanent and free advertisement for Tesla Roadster in Elite.
