Frontier Please Reduce The Orca's Price!

Hay Frontier!

I'm really enjoying the design and sats of the Orca, It looks great and sounds wonderful, from videos I've seen it being reviewed. However I am really dispointed and almost every player I have come cross, and the newsletter that has spread all agree on that the Orca is to Over-Priced!, To buying it: Upgrading it, and its Re-buy cost!.

So please, please consider droping the price from: 48,539,887 CR! & Its Re-buy: 2,426,994 CR!

A reasonable price whuold be 1-3 Mil & its Re-buy to a much cheaper price

Um... Why? It's a premium ship (though not as premium as some

), so demands a premium price. There are lots of excellent ships within your price range to keep you amused while you earn for your Orca.

EDIT: And no, I can't afford one yet either.

The Orca is as long as an Anaconda and has about 50% more hull mass than a Conda.

It's a huge ship, by length it's the fourth biggest ship in the game, after Cutter, Corvette and Anaconda. By hull mass it's also the fourth biggest ship (joint with FGS).

1-3 million seems a bit cheeky! =p

Just not for a few but a lot of people?
I think the price at it is is a bargain.

The only drawback is that it is an useless ship right now without passenger missions .... hello frontier...

yeah, this ship is the equivalent of travelling by concorde or the QE2,(Titanic from hitchhikers guide to the galaxy) it should be full of high paying customers and as such have quite high paying missions, until FD pull their fingers out and supply it with such it's kinda pointless.

That would make buying the Orca an almost sensible choice. To buy an Orca at its current price takes a... er... very ~~peculiar~~ particular kind of person. I say keep it at its current price.

Compared to a Python and above, 48mil sounds like a bargain for such a luxury liner.

Besides, working up to 50 million won't take that long. Took me about a month in my Vulture working the compromised beacons and that was only playing a couple of hours a night.

I'm working up to about 130 million so I buy a FAS fully kitted out.

it's the most overpriced ship i've ever purchaced, and for sheer enjoyment factor it's worth every credit spent.

Just kidding, as some said, the price is based on the fact it's an advanced ship.
Try to see this in a different, more positive way:
1) you have a goal to work to (x2, seeing it has to be outfitted, and you want spare Creds should things go sour)
2) Once you have this 100Mcr ship, you'll be the proud owner of a ship you actually worked hard for.

Increase it's jump range to 200LY

Give it Class 24 shields

Add 7 huge hard points

Up the Power Plant and Distributor to Class 24

Then we won't need to re-visit this thread...

The Orca is big (like really big) and build with luxury on top of that. Not a ship that looks to me like it should be cheap.
