Frontier Should Send an Artist or two to Disney World if they haven't already

I just got back from a day at Disney World. I spent most of my day in awe at Magic Kingdom. While I have been to DW before, this is the first time I have gone since playing Planet Coaster, so my mind was racing with ideas the entire day. Magic Kingdom is pretty much a perfect theme park, and while it doesn't have the thrills of Universal, their themeing department is so much better save for the new Wizarding World Diagon Alley at USF.

To get to my point, Frontier should send a few of their artists or an artist and a gameplay designer over here with go pros and dslrs to really get into every nook and cranny of these parks. I do not think pictures online will do them justice, because actually walking around the parks and soaking in everything is so much better. I also think they would get some great ideas from what Disney is doing here. For Example: Park to Park Transport could be really cool in this game, something like Magic band fast passes would be awesome as well, and I noticed that they have employees stand in the center of main walkways to direct traffic to each side and I think that would be a nice detail for crowded parks. I'd love to be able to place photographers around in scenic areas of the park that guests can buy photo passes for. Parades would be really cool, but I can imagine that would be insanely difficult to implement. Haunted Mansion is an incredible dark ride that needs to be experienced, and I'd love to be able to create experiences like that at my park. If they plan on adding resorts to the game, which I doubt, Disney resorts are second to none for theme parks.

I'm sure they are VERY aware of how amazing Disney is at parks. They also have past Pixar animators on the team! [up]

I'm a big nerd when it comes to Disney imagineer design. I've admired it in the parks and have a number of books on the subject too.I don't think there can be any doubting that Frontier have done their research (what fun research it must be!). In fact, it clearly shows in the game if you look at the attention to detail even at this early stage. What Frontier seem to have seized upon is trying to provide players with as modular a platform as possible. If they provide the pieces, then there's really no limit to what players might design.

I've been admiring one particular player with the Alpha on Youtube over the weekend. I've no idea if he posts here on the forum (I directly applaud your creations if you do), but take a look at this: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7ccU4x219SU&ab_channel=Silvarret There he is attempting to create a Disney-esque inspired Main Street with the limited tools and scenery options currently available in the Alpha build. It's a remarkable achievement, and I'd also recommend his earlier Planet Coaster videos where he has designed an Alpine theme and coaster. Frontier know it is all about the details, and it's their approach to the game's design that allows users to build scenery as stunningly detailed as this.

This is the most impressive thing I've ever seen with this game so far. Holy crap!

It really is. I spent the Easter weekend eagerly awaiting a new video from him each day. His videos are a great inspiration and reminder that you should ever be afraid to mix scenery objects from different themes to create something unique. Looking back through his Youtube history, he was clearly a long term builder of extravagant designs in RCT3 too so he's had a lot of practice. .

You must watch the earlier three videos he did too. Exceptional use of imagination.

Again, with Frontier giving us so many modular parts, and allowing us to use them in so many different ways (embed them into other pieces..etc) the only real limitation at the end of the day is going to be the player's own ingenuity and imagination. The tools are so flexible.

Wow amazing work by silvarret! It is things like these that make me look forward to the blueprint sharing as well as the paint/recolor....

I am totally to steal the idea of sinking trees to turn into smaller bushes!
