Frontier, you just gave me a mild heart attack

I clicked on the launcher, and what popped up was the stock welcome screen with "PURCHASE" instead of "PLAY". A quick reboot of the launcher and all is well, but I mean, come on... Do that on April Fools day or something at least.

This can happen if you leave the launcher on and have a network connection that sleeps with the computer, and sleep extends from before an update to after an update, and then you wake the computer up.

Something odd is going on. I opened the launcher and logged in. The only option was "Play Demo". I went ahead and clicked it and then saved/exited. After that, the regular menu came up.

So it's not just the OP.

<edit> and now the game won't load. It minimizes the window when I click on it. </edit>

<edit2> The demo changed my display to fullscreen. (I have multiple monitors) I was able to change it back to borderless. I might need to restore my bindings file. Little glitches everywhere. </edit2>

<edit3> As suspected, my display reverted to a default setting. The screen was shaking like it was on withdrawls or something. Settings dropped to high. Restored the bindings folder and all looks right. </edit3>

haha, same here
opened the launcher and it offered me to "install"

I'm getting the same behavior. First launch I got "Install" and I couldn't click on the button. Closed and reopened the launcher, got "Purchase". Closed and opened again and I got "Upgrade", which I was expecting. Now I've successfully upgraded and I have the "Play" button. But I'm afraid to close my launcher again.

I suspect another patch will be forthcoming.

New microtransaction, you must pay for every time you click play — it's replacing the DLC/expansion business model...

But seriously, I've had that display once or twice in the past. Probably just more server hiccups.

There was a minor update to the servers they were down for a few minutes. I assumed it was to address those annoying matchmaker errors.

Same happened to me, I closed and re-opened a few times, but only option I had was 'install.'

I originally installed the game through Steam (I use Steam sometimes, but mostly I just use the stand alone launcher.) I opened Steam and did the update that way and it fixed it.

Very strange.
