Frontier you rock my World!

After being part of the Beta for some time, you completely surprised me with Gamma!
I've been playing for 8(!) hours straight last night. What an experience! It feels like you're really there!
I've explored, traded, smuggled and got interdicted by various types of ships and managed to survive even an encounter with an ASP, in fact I blew it to pieces. In a standard Sidewinder!

The best thing is when you're not in a hurry, you get to see some really amazing stuff. Needless to say I took a bunch of screenshots of beautiful constellations. This game will live forever!
No idea how you did it but you sure have some of the most creative heads in your company. Congrats Mr. Braben for employing these fine artists.
I have one question though: What took you so long? Did you code the Galaxy in Assembler? 30 years! Imagine how many systems I could have scanned in these years. ;)

I'm so looking forward to leaving the ship and planetary landings now. Just being able to leave the ship when docked would be good enough for me for a start.

Right on, Commanders! You did an outstanding job!

A word to all the guys yelling for refunds. Learn to embrace this game for what it is. A simulation of our Galaxy.

In addition, I would like to mention that my ships voice is very low. I have her set to max while all other sounds are set to 10-15%. Should I file a ticket for that?

A wonderful and positive message which represents a welcome relief from some of the constant negativity recently. What's truly exciting is that this can be viewed as just the starting vision for what DB wants to achieve. He is a man of constant and intense creativity who has been formulating this universe for the past 30 years. What he is doing now is building the solid foundations on which the future visions will be built. What's for sure is that we have a fascinating journey ahead.

Always good to see a positive post.

One of the feelings I am experiencing is the feeling of "I want to explore that", whether it is a remote outpost or a massive space station. I will always be wanting to the planetary landings ahead of all the expansions, but the first person expansion is looking very appealing now.

i agree on the OP's sentiments. E:D is flipping amazing. I have been blowing up fools who had the gall to interdict me on my travels and scanning the heck out of everything that wasnt properly tagged in my freagles' database. Flew to Sol and bought me some sweet kit there, so now my freagle fracking pwns face. oh yea, lovin' it, every supahcruisin' minute of it :D

Planetary landings are most definately needed before any FPS fluff. Remember the lesson from eve-O and don't be SC. flying in space is what the game is about, and flying towards planets is closer to that than walking to the virtual toilet in your ship. I also would like scooping to be extended to gas giants and make scooping suns more dangerous. But mostly i'd like to make planetfall in my cobra and set her down gently on the pad in London.

Quite a few have mentioned the volume on the voice......We have asked for a bigger slider :D

That's nice to hear.

Not so sure about going to Sol. By the time I will get there it will be pretty much crowded. Once they have planetary landings on Earth they will need to upgrade their servers. ;) And I will need a bigger PC. :(
Let's wait and see what happens. I'm pretty excited for the future of ED.

Very good; my opinion as well...
