Frontiers reluctance to state price of fleet carriers is killing their own profit.

I have an in-game balance of 4 Billion credits. However, Frontiers reluctance to release information on the cost of Fleet Carriers means I am now holding on to my credits for fear of not having sufficient come December. As a consequence this is preventing me from purchasing any new ships from now till then, which in turn means I will not be purchasing any new paint jobs and ship kits. Surely Frontier must recognise that not releasing this information is hurting their own profits. Give us the information now so players can plan their gameplay, budget wisely, and know how much surplus credits (if any) they have.

Balancing.

This is all quite normal. Devs' rarely release unlock requirements to stop players "gaming the system".

I wouldn't be surprised if the influx of players grinding cash for carriers cause the final price to increase over in-house prices.

The price is 10 Billion....does that help you spend more Credits on ships now? :)

It's becoming a problem.

I have around 3.1 billion. I have 3 options:

A: Don't seek credits and go do something more interesting, because I already have enough.

B: Earn more credits, because I don't have enough.

C: Don't bother to seek credits, because they will be horrendously expensive and I will never have enough.

Exactly.... Well said.

I also have 3bn - in cash.

If carriers come out and are (say) 6bn then I'll just grind more Painite. No big deal. I can mine it now or after the carrier update. 3bn should take no more than a few days - a week tops.

I have abour 3 bn liquid assets and why I'm not spending it on anything is that I pretty much already have the ships I want to have. As for the carriers I'm guessing they'll start where the most expensive A-rated ship ends, at 1 bn. Equipping the support ships may be extra.

Play the game the credits will take care of themselves. and sadly if your worried you don't have enough credits then you probably don't

I'd find it odd if credits were the 'hard" part for getting a carrier. Maybe they're in systems permit locked for admiral kings. Maybe a permit that requires you to get allied with several factions that each require a permit. How about a new rank system for the alliance? You work your way from clerk to CEO and carriers are only available for CEOs.

I'm leaning towards permit lock simply because they specifically stated carriers and fuel will only be available in certain systems. Probably something insignificant like 500 million, but the upgrades will go into the billions.

I think you're onto something there

Maybe its because Fdev may have not decided on the price of fleet carriers yet.
