Frontiers reluctance to state price of fleet carriers is killing their own profit.

That's why I'm doing exactly nothing right now. I want to know for how much I'm in, before starting to grind. I'd laugh so hard if everyone grinded 10+ billion and it's only 1 billion for the base carrier and another for a specialization.

At 10 billion you've basicaly grinded enough to afford every ship in the game IMO. Wonder what all the compulsive grinders and credit hoarders would do if the FC cost is significantly less than 1 billion? Buy & upgrade every ship in the game? Then snap, have an emotional melt down and then go on a griefer ganking spree from the sheer boredom of it all? I guess I'll never understand why players have a compulsive need to hoard game currency to the extent the OP does. The obsessive grind factor detracts from the fun for playing and enjoying the game.

That'll be no cost at all, since I can park the carrier in the same system that's currently home of my fleet. A central base has become an absolute necessity with 26 ships, or I'd spend most of my time flying back and forth between them, if they were scattered all over the place.

Same, nearly. I have a system I park my mining ships and a system I park the rest of my fleet. I have a high jump ship I use to move between these two systems (a little over 300 ly apart) when I switch from mining to other. Pity I will only be able to buy one fleet carrier, but I suspect I’ll load up and be off into the black as soon as I get it, so hope it has like 100,000 or more cargo space so I can explore, mine and not have to come back for a while to empty my storage off.

I collect money to buy they stuff I want, and then I do not any itch to hoard money untill next time I have the need to buy something.... so that is how I got my 40+ A-rated ships scattered around.... I do not worry about the cost of the FC, I do not simply care if it costs 1 billion, 10 billion and I do not think FDev have actually set a price yet, they only have some ideas.


So I do not get either why people are so railed up about the costs, because the credits cost could be the least of our problems, in buying one of these new ships... we could get new mechanics etc that we need engage in to be eligible to buy the new ship.... Who knows... or it could just a be a matter of paying exorbitant amount of credits... based on your current wealth or something else equally crazy....
