FSD Engineered Stats Tier 5 - quality?

Hi everyone,

Been away a year+. Getting back into it. Game is still super awesome. Before I left I just opened a bunch of Tier 5 engineers. I made some quick components, so no idea the quality.

The below stats are from a Tier 5 Engineered 5A FSD (I think it’s a 5). Are these decent range stats for an FSD? Any examples to compare it to? This is one Python.

Thanks for the help.

Mass 20 T Adjusted. 28.41T +42.1
Integrity 120 Adjusted. 91. -24%
Power Draw .60mw Adjusted .74mw +25.5%
Optimized Mass 1050T Adjusted. 1644.2T +56.60%
Thermal Load 27.0/s Adjusted. 27.2/S +.7%
Max Fuel Per Jump 5.00T Adjusted 5.02T +.4%

The new optimum with mass manager is + 61.2 % optimal mass.

G5
Power Draw +15%
Optimal Mass +55% (61.2 with mass manager)
Integrity -15%
Mass +30%

So I'd say it makes sense to convert and roll for max G5

You go to Elvira or Felicity and convert it. No idea about the steps, I think you need to select it and then chose to upgrade it to increased range ?!

Then it's max G4 and you can apply G5 rolls and experimentals.

FWIW, if you have modules with legacy mod's applied to them, it's probably worth taking a look at Coriolis or EDShipyard before rushing off to convert your legacy modules to the new system.

I had a "one-roll" G5 FSD bolted to an AspX that was built for combat (and then never used).
I very nearly just sold the whole thing 'cos I couldn't really be bothered to convert the modules to the new system.
When I took the FSD off and stuck it on an Exploration AspX, I found it had a jump-range of ~80Ly!

Be very, very careful before converting legacy modules to the new system.
99.9% of the time, the new system will offer significant improvements but there's always the chance that one of your legacy modules IS much better than the new system offers.
