FSD equiped in merc pre ordered combat tutorials

Just a quick question from a noob... ive been doing the combat tutorials for some days now (setting up my x52 and voice attack ready for launch).
I noticed on the ship your given there's a Frame-shift drive equipped .... QUESTION... as it been disabled as i cant seem to use it?

The FSD allows you to travel between systems. Since you only have access to the combat tutorials at the moment and not online play it makes sense that it is disabled.

I also forgot to mention that engaging FSD in a system will place you in the super cruise flight mode allowing you to quickly fly about the system visiting the various planets, stations etc...
