Engineers FSD increased range question.

I managed to get a level 5 FSD increased range from the engineers up to 19 lys on my FDL.
I then stupidly applied a crappy level 1 faster boot sequence which dropped it back down to 13 lys. Can I get rid of the crappy level 1 boot sequence or do I lose the lot?

It gone.

I suggest buying a new Virgin FSD and doing a Blueprint pin, logging out, log back in into a different mode, and then do the spin. You should find the majority of times that you will get an Over Maxed upgrade. Ie above 50% increase on the FSD on the first spin! I've done this quite a few times now and most of my modules are now over maxed! Many of my FSDs are 52 to 54%. Yes, you'll get the worse negatives with the over maxed upgrade. Live with it... If you don't get the over maxed result first spin, repin, log again and try again. Most of mine have been first spins but some times Felicity is a [cry]

DON'T ACCEPT ANY UPGRADE until you get the over maxed result. Even if it 50%! Once you accept anything, you'll not likely to get the over maxed result.

Good Luck! :D

Why FD doesn't include an actual explanation in game of each of the modded params and how it affects the performance of your module is just plain lazy/criminal.

Obfuscation =/= Depth.

Having to scour forums for answers =/= Gameplay.

Actually, they do. In the read more section of the shop. Not the most convenient of places, but it's there. That said it's a real UI/UX fail that we don't see the actual results before applying a modification (which is an irreversible action). And while we're at outfitting UI, IMHO it needs an overhaul in general, something like creating presets which you can apply on one-click, but I digress.

Sorry, not mean to offend but that sounds a lot like ITVoodoo and has no real ground to stand (in theory). That said, I saw some stranger bugs in this game so whatever floats your boat :) I got lucky with single rolls for the Conda, Python and Cutter, yet horrible for the FDL and the Clipper. That's the RNG nature of RNGineers, really. :)
