FSD inoperative.

Why would my FSD go inoperative during combat in my Cutter with the shields still up?
No such thing as an FSD Inhibitor?
Is there a weapon capable of doing this to me with shields still in place?
Grateful for any help.

Grom bomb (Containment missile) / FSD disruptors do this along with shift lock canister mines.
Thanks.
Never heard of these. Must have been some sophisticated enemy player!
Where can I find info about these? I've looked in Codex, Pilot's Handbook and Inara - nothing fiund.

Only players have them, I have never seen an NPC have them directly (I suspect ATR have them though).
Thanks for your help.
I would like to find out more about the Grom Bomb and shift lock canister mines but struggling to find info.
I assume by FSD Disruptor you mean the FSD Interdictor?

Rocket propelled FSD disruptor (aka Grom Bomb / Grompedo / Containment missile)

You can also apply the mass lock experimental to Grom missiles for added fun.

No problem! While you are there you might want to get acclimatized with the more popular (and deadly effect) reverberating cascade which kills shields directly at module level, and is a threat in ships like the Cutter.
