FSD Interdictor ratings and class

Hi

What exactly is the benefit of having a higher rated fsd installed? Some post in the Gamma Forum suggested, that the better a fsd is, the longer the other ship can't jump again. And/Or does it make the interdiction harder to evade?

And how do the different classes and ratings compare to each other? Is a B2 module better than a C3?

Old thread I know but no one answered.

According to what I found on Reddit, the bigger class makes it harder for your victim to escape the tether and does not affect range or anything.

As far as I found out the class increases the range and makes it possible to interdict larger ships at a greater distance. And the rating determines how hard it is to avoid interdiction.

I made that concussion when I tried an A1 FSD Interdictor on my Viper and I pulled an ASP out of Supercruise. I needed to get really close (about 1-2 ls) but the interdiction itself was as easy as always.
