FSD jump plotting filter

Hello,
I am an avid explorer in E:D, but one thing that drives me crazy is the route plotting system. Why can't we filter star types when plotting jump points? Every time I try to jump over a thousand light years outside of the bubble I get mired in a sea of brown dwarves that send me back to the galaxy map over and over when I inevitably run out of fuel. And every time I do, I see a scoopable star withing 10 lyrs of my course that the automatic plotting system stubbornly refuses to acknowledge. I know the coding behind it is far beyond my understanding, but is asking it to only jump to scoopable stars, or make sure when the route goes beyond my fuel range that the last stop before I run dry is scoopable too much to ask?

If you're hitting unscoopables that much you're in the brown dwarf layer. Try travelling 100ly higher or lower and you'll hardly see any.

If you look at the route you have plotted, the dotted lines mean you need more fuel before you can make that jump. If you see that there are no scoopables between you and the dotted line, bookmark the destination star (for easy reporting) then jump to a scoopable and fill up. If it's happening repeatedly, get away from the galactic plane - 200 ly above or below 0 should be safe.

It also helps to get to know your own fuel tank - I have a small tank, 3 jumps. That means I have to pay much greater attention than someone with 6 jumps, and need to replot more often - but the payoff is greater jump range. If you are getting frustrated replotting, try a bigger fuel tank to just ride out the unscoopable layer.

I agree what the CMDRs above have said.
I've also found that switching to Economic mode plotting does often bring scoopable stars back into play.
Then go and scoop, and switch back to long range mode.

I agree that the option to filter the route by star type would be nice. As people have said, you can avoid the brown dwarf layer, but that doesn't help if you need to plot routes along the galactic plane or repeatedly passing through it (which I do); I'm carrying an extra fuel tank (16 tons added to my ship's default 16 tons internal tank) specifically to be able to pass through the plane without needing to replot because my route takes me back and forth like a demented yo-yo.

I'm not sure how it stands as a coding challenge - if it was working from a big database of star positions it would be simple, but I suspect that because it's generating the star positions on the fly it's slightly more of a challenge. Alot / Esvandiary would be the man to ask.
