FSD - origin of drive name

So... today I've seen again (don't remmeber how many times ) in TV movie called Sphere (1998) (https://www.imdb.com/title/tt0120184/). It's a Sci-Fi movie but I was supriced when I saw this scene while few scientist visit "alien" ship and check flight logs:

I know, I know it's not FSD but FDS but it's similar I think
