Engineers FSD Range shot to hell!

Right, I've messed up my FSD range on my Python.
Using Felicity Farseer Grade 3 upgrades I got my Python up to about 25Ly (approx), so I decided to try Elvira Martuuk to see if I could get a better range.

I've now got a Python with a range of 16Ly  :O

What, why, help me.....Please?!!?

What should I look out for when upgrading?

I suspect that you have accidentally done a different type of upgrade on your FSD and this has overwritten your increased range one. I have done this a couple of times and it is v frustrating. Your old mod is gone for ever I'm afraid.

For your information you wont get a better mod because its from a different engineer. If you get on with felicity then you might as well stick with her

Yup, looking at inara you have probably gone for shielded or faster boot sequence

Here's a video I put together to help explain what you're seeing on those engineering screens. Maybe it will demystify it a bit.

Thanks everyone for your help :D
I'll head back to Farseer, I'll just have to collect some stuff along the way. Damn.

Now that we have module storage, it isn't a bad idea to buy a stock FSD drive at the closest station to the Engineer, store your current one there and then ship it to the Engineer base. That way, if your upgrade goes south, you still have your original to fall back on.

I have been doing this with a lot of core modules that if they get nerfed during an upgrade gone wrong, I am not stuck with the crappy version.

Your right I'm sorry I don't know what came over me, I think losing my FSD range as got to me.
Give me a second my six cans of larger might kick in any secnkcw nowdc.xxw
