FSD - Stop Forcing Me To Look Out the Canopy

This is one thing I absolutely hate about ED.

Waiting for the FSD countdown, so I decide to quickly look at something in a menu and SHWOOM! An invisible force violently snaps my head around and forces my eyeballs to stare out the front canopy.

What the heck? Why? I know what hyperspace travel looks like... I don't need the game to force me to watch it EVERY SINGLE TIME!

Some of the menus are still "available" during the jump, just gotta re-open them. Why do they close? Why don't all the menus remain available? Common arguement "because a new instance is being loaded". I call BiblyShroom!. What a crappy excuse. Trying to convince me that reading my active missions isn't possible while loading a new instance? Huh what? OK maybe its not possible the way the game has been written, kinda like its not possible to open my dining room window because its painted shut.

OK lets say its just not possible to keep certain menus open. How about a gentle fade away? Rather than violently snapping my head around?

Instance change I am guessing, but also a bit of insurance to avoid the hundreds of compaints from players who forget they are playing in real time and fly into stars and planets.

That would (maybe) explain coming out of hyperdrive, even though you get a big SHWOOOM! Sure maybe in the old days it helped prevent inattentive players from flying into stars. Nowadays the supercruise assist module stops you flying into the star anyway. It does not explain entering into Hyperspace. or Supercruise.

It would certainly hamper any efforts of developing multiplayer-multicrew activities. I would think this would need to be one of the first things to be resolved if they ever wanted to expand the activities of a copilot. A copilot would go bananas if everytime they were figuring out mission stuff, navigating, prepping stuff, whatever the menus kept closing on them. OK so multiplayer-multicrew doesn't meaningfuly exist and maybe never. Valid point.

From a gameplay perspective it means that it not very worthwhile to try to do meaningful ingame stuff while FSD is warming up or during travel, because you just get kicked from whatever you are doing. So instead players like me task-swap to something outside of the game and just wait for the big SHWOOOM!
