FSD upgrade: only for hyperjumps? Or for Supercruise as well?

Well, simple as that. Does better FSD increase only jump range in hyperspace? Or does it increase acceleration and deceleration for supercruise as well? Will it help me only with interstellar travel? Or in-system travel as well?

I think it does help SC as well, or so it seems, though marginally

i don't think anything does; i have a cobra with the best FSD and thrusters and still can't catch a sidey in SC to interdict if it is already travelling faster than me to start with. any maneuverability advantages seem to disappear in SC as well. quiet annoying if you are bounty hunting.
