FSS Activation Problems

Heya, I'm doing a bit of local system exploring before I officially leave the bubble in exactly one week, just to test out the limits of this DBX. I know that the first steps to take when entering a new system are

1) Honk
2) Activate FSS
3) To DSSs of any notable planets


However, I'm stuck on step 2, because no matter what I do, I can't seem to activate the FSS interface. Most sources online say to just use the button assigned to the discovery scanners, but that doesn't work. I've also changed that button just to see whether it was just that button that didn't work, but nothing seems to happen when I use the new button either. Thanks in advance

Nevermind, I guess I found it. It was a key that was bound to exiting the FSS, but for some reason, it also activates it

But I can't open FSS. No matter what key I bind and I even try to use gameglass, which point and error of connection!

You have to be in supercruise, min speed and analysis HUD mode ...

Binding to enter is under mode switches:

Binding to leave FSS is however under the FSS group (you can use the same key as the one to enter the mode if you wish).

Thanks. There's a long time I don't play, and are looking in the wrong config menu.

No worries. It doesn't help that they moved the "Enter FSS Mode" control assignment from the top of the FSS group to the bottom of the Mode Switches group.
