FSS: Adaptive Zoom message duration and size

The Adaptive Zoom Failure message lasts a tad too long for it to be comfortable in the FSS. The problem is I'd like to see the status of the body I'm scanning, and it says "None", I'd like to zoom out quickly and move on to the next body.

The problem is that the Adaptive Zoom Failure error lingers on, so I have to wait for it to fade away before I see whether the planet is worth waiting for the scan to complete, or whether it's already done.

A small little info message should suffice in my Info feed on the top right corner, rather than a big red warning message. It's not really that urgent if I can't zoom, and an experienced explorer should by now know why the zoom isn't working if they haven't aligned the scan circle properly.

It's a small, thing, but I'm sure it'll improve QoL for other Explorers out there who are getting good with the FSS.

Yes I agree with reducing the size and duration of this message.

(Whilst there can we stop the FSS reporting discovering every cluster of an asteroid belt? Surely just one message reporting that the belt was discovered would be enough.)

Agreed.

Edt: And if you can reduce the time to resolve POI / remove the dependency of frame rate of the graphics card that would be cool. Don't really want to be thinking of getting a new graphics card just to resolve POI in a reasonable time...

and another point i already made back in beta. totally agree to this. successful zoom should cancel all failure messages. and while we are on it, the discovery feed below the main panel supresses the popup for information below it unless you zoom out and back in...

Yes, the Adaptive Zoom Failure message does last too long. Also, I notice that while biological objects will show up on the scan instantly regardless of number, if there are geological features involved (either on their own or with biological ones) then it takes a VERY long time to resolve them.

There is also inconsistency in how the data for the planet shows up when scanning. While the above mentioned "scanning" is occurring for geological sites, you either get nothing or just a few lines of info. Then the rest show up when scan is finished. This can be rather frustrating.

I wouldn't mind waiting for the geological features to resolve as much as long as all the rest of the planetary data was there for me to look over in the meantime.

Also, perhaps a limited means of zooming in on a resolved planet further, in case we're making a snap judgment on whether we want to visit it or not?

Oh yes. It’s very intrusive currently. And everything that pops up in the center panel that is already in the info panel.
What really really gets to me is the little (failure) sound that accompanies it. Gggrrrrrrrhhh when you have to hear it 50kerbillion times.

When a player fails they are gonna want to know they failed, right? I really like it cause it encourages me to aim better.

I never used to do any zooming at all but ever sinse that message i have circumnavigated twice....
