Fss scanning

When scanning bodies in a system with the fss scanner, some bodies turn different colours, i've seen red, white, yellow and blue, i couldn't find the answer using the pilots guide, but what do the different colours mean?

as in the planets turn a different colour when you zoom into them the colour usually is the reflection of the light from the star.

if a planet is around an O/B star it'll look blue etc.

I think the OP meant the astronomical body markers in FSS changing to different colours when scanned. Which incidentally the "SIGNAL ANALYSIS" part at bottom right of the screen tells the meaning of.
