FSS values?

Hi all, long time, no see :p

After being away from the game for nearly a year, I've once again returned to the black, and have begun exploring the galaxy again.

One of the new features for me, is the FSS. I love the fact that one doesn't need to SC for half an eternity to discover a system anymore.

There is, however, one thing I haven't been able to find any clear answer to, and as I couldn't find an answer anywhere I looked, I figured I'll ask all of you(sorry if this has been answered earlier):

When I scan/discover a body in a system, it frequently keeps scanning for 'noteable/explorable locations' on the surface of that body. This can take ~30 second for each of the ones that might have something on them. What I would like to know is: Does letting the scanner finish finding POI's on a body increase the payment for the discovery data of that body, or will the payout be the same either way?

I have, ATM, no intention of landing on any of these planets in order to scan/discover what the FSS found, no matter what it might be. So, with that in mind, will I lose any substantial amount of payment if I just skip waiting for the scanner to complete finding out if there is anything of note on the countless Ice Bodies out there?

Thanks in advance :)

Hi, personally I have never notice a reduction in credits for not waiting for the full scan.
I think it still scans in the background because not waiting for too many causes my FSS to lag and when I have checked a body afterwards it displays the Locations straight away.
hope this helps

Thanks, both of you :D This helps loads, and makes it a lot faster and easier to scan systems for me :D
