Hello! I did a quick search but couldn't find anything on this so..
I noticed when reverting back to flatscreen Elite that when using the FSS you get a lovely zoom in/out effect when looking at distant planets.
This is not the case in VR - the screen simply fades to black and shows you the next level of magnification.
This is a shame as the "zoom" really sells the idea of looking out into the system - the fade to black further disconnects me from the process and to me just feels like a series of pictures, taking away from the immersion.
I was wondering - was this done because the zoom effect made everyone feel sick in VR? Or was it another more technical reason?
If the former, my suggestion would be to allow the player to choose it as a comfort setting for VR - I'd love to try it out and decide if I can stomach it and I think the immersion from this small change would really add to the experience.
thanks for reading!
