Newcomer / Intro FSS won't open

I have tried everything and my FSS won't open. In ship control options I have Discovery scan set to the F1 key. This has been my setting for years. I go to a system and do the basic discovery scan. I stay in supercruise. I hit F1 and nothing happens. I have changed to F1 key to many other keys and still nothing. I have checked many times that in the ship option settings that the FSS key is set to F1. It's all saved to a custom ship control option. I even made all the key binds the same in my t.flight Hotas settings options and it still doesn't work. I also verified my files with Frontier. Any ideas?

You did do the initial honk of the system before entering FSS right? It is necessary to use that function.

As long as you are in supercruise but with throttle at zero you should be able to enter the FSS, if you haven’t scanned the system you get a prompt to use the scanner with whatever control you bound it to within the FSS options.

If you were to fast you would get a message to throttle down when u tried to open the FSS.

I figured it out. The last update removed many of my key bindings. I'm going to make a backup copy of my frontier folder for future issues. Thanks for the help.
