Fuel calculation

Is there a way to know how much fuel is in the tank? in modern cars we can see how many miles/km is left in the tank at the push of a button & in ED it seems I have to guess.

My ASP fitted for exploration with an full tank can jump 32.75LY & has a max range of over 35LY, so when I let it run down to get a longer jump range & when I make that jump & get to the star, I have to guess how much to fill back up so as not to overfill. Did I miss something here?

Are you saying you want to know exactly how much fuel you need for a given jump range? If so, look at your right popup panel while refueling, it tells you the range of the ship, as you scoop fuel, the range indicator decreases in real time
