Fuel Consumption: Unfixed Bug

I have heard from forum members even before I bought the game that whenever you take your ship and refuel at a station in-game, your fuel consumption rate nearly doubles. Recently I read another member's post which rose the idea in my head again.

Whenever I refuel at a station, my fuel consumption nearly doubles. I have to exit the game, and re-enter for the rates to return to normal. This is why I do not like to refuel.

Apparently this is a long-standing bug from Beta that has yet to be fixed. I am bringing this issue to the "Dangerous Discussion" so more people may take notice.

Here are screenshots:

(Ah, I've seen this fuel consumption bug many times but never saw it explained as being related to refueling and re-logging would fix it. Thanks for posting!)

Strange, this isn't something that I have ever had a problem with. Now I use a fuel scoop most of the time so won't see it at all.

Only time I noticed unnatural consumption was turning a bunch of systems off mid-supercruise. Consumption dropped until my reserve tank hit zero and refilled from the main tank, then jumped back up to what it was before I turned the modules off.

Yup. I have one during supercruise using ~0.93/h.

I agree, I don't find that to be a bug. However, it could be a bug that the consumption drops when you disable systems then jumps back up when the tank ticks over.

This explains why sometimes my fuel consumption is only 0.38/h and other times it's up to almost 1.50/h. If nothing changes, the consumption shouldn't go higher.

I was just writing it off as wear & tear related. I'll have to pay closer attention to it now.

i see two screenshots.
one in normal space the other in supercruise.
you do know that supercruise uses fuel at a faster rate than in normal space right?
