I'm back at doing a bit of trading here and there. The new model of economy (since 1.1 mostly) makes trade routes a little harder to manage and we often have to do multiple jumps to make a decent profit.
However, aside from the "fuel scoop vs paying at station" argument, i was wondering if there was a quatifiable difference between fuel consumption in relation to which Modules are used.
I guess i could use a car analogy, looking mostly at gear choice for highway for example... the highest gears are designed to limit rev and consume less gas per mile.
Is this type of concept present in Elite?
For example; does a better FSD only allow longer/further jumps? or is the fuel consumption less? (less costy). Does a Power Distribution Module allow for better consumption as well? (it should better regulate consumption and such). Would better Thrusters do the same?
