Why does fuel cost so much?

Filling up a ship cost so much more than buying the same amount of fuel in cargo?

Will we ever get a refund for the last six months of what seems to be over charging?

Should I raise a ticket? I think I've paid close to 100m credits in over priced fuel maybe more... I just don't know

Will the fuel rats help me back date my claim?

You are paying for the friendly service. Don't even have to fill er up yourself!

Well you are doing something WRONG if you are buying fuel anyway.

But I always though that price should be based on how much TIME it takes to get it + a markup (simple business). Price go's up if system does not have scoopable stars.

e.g. Asp 32t A Class 6 Fuel scoop takes 36s. Then you have to factor in cost of buying equipment, time transporting it, up keep of ship and profit.

Taking time and money into account, how long does it take to dock, buy and go VS. coming into a system next to a star you can scoop. Buy fuel if you are at a station yes, but if you do not need to stop?
