Fuel ETA instead of x/h

I'd like an option to toggle the fuel time display to the remaining fuel time in hh:mm instead of x/h.

For ships this is probably less useful or interesting but so is x/h, but for the SRV would I find this useful as I find the 'critical' fuel warning coming too early (I don't like refueling when there's still some left :x) and the next 'warning' is a partial system shutdown.

Could be added as option to the settings panel on the right menu for example.

This reeks of sound logic. Though, with fuel use fluctuating the way it does, it may not be a useful number.

Strike that. It's always gonna be more useful than use/hour.

I prefer use / hour. This is how aircraft fuel consumption is measured.
Besides, will fuel time remaining really provide you with useful data? Maybe if you have been in a res site or undermining for a few hours non-stop, but even so you know that you should go fuel scoop or go to a station to refuel when your fuel gauge is low.

I prefer use / hour.
This is why I asked for an option, not an absolute replace.
And yes, to me the remaining time would be more useful than x/h as that's completely useless to me past having figured out "ok, pedal to the metal in the SRV takes 0.3/h, tank's 0.45, so 1.5h runtime".
That's the ONLY time I ever had a use for x/h, and I'm playing since PB2 : /

We have time with which to gauge our remaining fuel time by. Time is a very easy to grasp.

There is no use for fuel per hour that does not involve the step mentioned above. We don't have any mechanic that involves managing the fuel per hour in a way that would make it any more useful than time remaining.

Yes, but this might be an interesting PvE mechanic.
Highest MPG/KPG.

Of course in a world with such massive and cheap energy as ED, might be hard to expand on fuel consumption metrics as a game mechanic.

But the fuel rats certainly seem to have proven it can be a thing. When we get atmospheres and varying fuel qualities it could be more interesting.

FD lore have used Fusion. But I prefer Hydrino/ dark matter creation in some way.
