First thing to say, the game is really great. I expect landing on planets in the future or human movements in stations, that would be so great.
I thought about some tactical use of fuel in combat. Let's say you are interdicted, you wanna escape, instead of just boost you could release your fuel to blind the enemy. Dunno if such thing is possible in space.
A kind of "release fuel module" is my idea to improve the ships. Plus it would add a tactical advantage. But also a large inconvenient, fuel would decrease very fast in such use.
Last, history missions would improve the game. Procedural ones with factions into systems, but also big choices : expanding federation/empire/etc with events related (battle, embargo, and so on).
