Full Color Hologram Displays

I actually like the orange HUD elements.

However, color conveys information and everyone loves full color displays.

Glass cockpits today do not consist of just one color or black/white, on/off options like a 1970's jet fighter.

Modern cockpits have full color displays. And everyone is getting used to full-color 3D images. I can view my city in Google Maps from any angle with 3D solid objects on the terrain map.

I think it would be much more attractive to see "normal" full color graphics and solid objects on the HUD where the elements are not text or targeting reticle type functions.

For example, the ship, station, and planet items on the two mini-disc displays to the side of the main "radar" could use models of those objects from in the game, just scaled to fit the display.

Imagine in the Sensor Sphere that instead of having weird round blobs for Stars and Planets, that instead they appeared as miniature versions of the system map representation- full color, solid spheres with low LOD and some type of scale applied.
