People change.
I think as a gamer we change.
The market changed.
dev change to.
DB might have changed to.
So his Elite vision might change over the years more or less.
I realy expect something differerent.
I heard He has lookin out for make it a MMO. He tried in the past some preproduction.
The differce between Single player and MMO are so extreem.
But it still all unkown what they going to do. So I have no clue.

What would you say if frontier put together a small 3 man team to simply redo elite 1, II & III. What do I mean by redo I hear you ask? Well, lets say they did this:
* Use higher resolutions.
* Upped the polygon count on all models (+50% polygon count)
* Use the *same* basic rendering on the ships/vehicles/stations.
* Use improved rendering on planetary bodies.
* Added a few more missions.
* Added a few more items in the market.

As a fan of FE2 - I'd love to see it in a nice clean HD presentation and I would also love to see it full modable and if I won the Lottery I'd seriously consider funding a small team to do the work but at this stage I'd rather they just got on with the job and finished whatever projects they've got going on and get around to E4.
That is something thats been raised on here a few times, would be great if they did a remake of the originals. But, with the likes of Pioneer, FFE3D etc I don't think it would ever happen, shame would be a great way to keep us happy especially if it was open source.
I don’t think they should do all three games but once the Outsider is done they will have there new graphic engine so an update of FFE could be done.
It could be done as a download game for the consoles and PC and It would also allow them to introduce the series to vast number of gamer out there who have never heard of Elite or played any of the games.
Also it could be used to test the waters and to see what the market is like for this type of game before committing there resources to the bigger project of Elite 4.
