Fun with A-grade Python... :D

Yes...

Today is the first time I actually rammed a "dangerous" NPC to death (one of those who interdict you because you are a trader).

I'm in a Python, no weapons... and this NPC interdicted me. I committed to it and he started shooting. Full pips on Shields, two on engines, I realized that this NPC would have to shoot me for 30 minutes before taking down my shields, and even though I have only 2 pips on engines, I still have insane boost capability that allows me to boost often... and this... spawned this crazy idea of ramming him to death, even though I was one jump away from my destination and with a cargo worth 2.5 mil (in profit, I shall add). :)

The NPC was in an ASP Explorer, 100% Hull, full shields.

The fight felt like one of those medieval tournments where two knights rides towards eachother in order to push the other knight off the horse; with the twist that the other guy had guns, and I only had a lance. Back and forth for about 1-2 minutes and I get my first strike (while him shooting constantly at me). :D

At this point I've might lost about 1% shields... I couldn't tell because the colour was very close to the same when having fresh shields.

First hit took out all of his shields and rendered 80% damage on his haul... wow! :D In that blast, I lost my outer ring + somewhat half of the middle ring. Hull still at 100% on my ship.

Back and forth some more, and the Asp had almost recovered to full shields when I managed to hit him again.

He died, and I had 1 ring left of my shields and no damage to my hull. :D

In both hits on the NPC I was flying around 300 m/s (or whatever velocity is measured in in normal space).

All in all... I love my A-grade Python a lot. :D And I whish that I had my recording software running when doing this, but sadly it had crashed in the background... :/ So, no video evidence of this very funny and awesome encounter. :/
