Kate Russell is prob. who he is thinking about.

Didnt know her myself had to google her ... she does look nice though.

Yes, Kate Russell. Nice person doing wonders for the KS campaign (similar to Chris Roberts) and I am very glad she's onboard but the way some are reacting is cringeworthy ("are you an angel" asked one poster :D)

Personally I didn't know who she was, I have heard of the click tv program... Not something I bother with... But the fact she is supporting what must be one of the most famous "cult" games ever made, shows she knows her stuff! I dip my cap..

Anyone that can attract support is good in my eyes!

Indeed ... however unlike here there is no ignore button and sadly the quality of the chat has gone really downhill ... some clowns have recently joined and make me feel quite ill with their comments ... One thought I had was "stalk much" after their proclaimed love to Kate. :eek:

I used to enjoy talking there ... guess that's gone now.

Your a lot braver than me then. I couldn't stand some of the views only days after the KS actually started.

It's almost as if some people believe that inane comments are some sort of KS currency.

Anyway, it's stuff like this only just reinforces elite's single-player aspect for me.

It's definitely the thing that puts me off multiplayer games....the other people..

will give it a try though in this case, despite having been almost entirely a single player gamer in the past

To counter the last 2 posts regarding "other people" you can pick and choose who you play with in ED, so you keep some control on the amount of sanity you keep ... If someone does your head in - welcome them to the exclude group so that upon next launch you never see them again!

Today at least the comments are back to normal .. I suspect it was Xmas beer :D

Sounds like being AFK during the last two days has been a good thing!

There will always be people who try to ruin things for others, no matter where you go. The trick i think, is to just get on with your life and not let their stupidity spoil your fun :D

Rock Paper Shotgun and even the response to Roberts' Call to Arms are even worse - those sites are dripping from negativity at best, to downright distrust at worst - with some people saying Braben's one step away from a con-man! Admittedly, that was towards the beginning of the KS but even so...

People do come up with a load of old crap on the 'net, don't they? ;)

Less than £9,000 to go for the million chaps and chapesses!

700 up for me. :)
