So I finally had a naval progression mission pop up. It asks me to deliver narcotics cool. I check the system but in the description it says to sell then at the walker city black market where I picked up the mission which of course makes no sense because they don't have a black market and they supplied me with the narcotics...
I decide to just go to the station listed in the mission details and stupidly sell the narcotics at the black market without thinking. I don't get any sort of mission status update as I usually do. Then I realize oh that's right I have to actually go into the bulletin board and hand in the cargo...cargo that I of course no longer have. I now have to source narcotics and since it said they were stolen I assumed the new goods I source also must be stolen.
I proceed to removed my shield cell bank to being my power usage down low enough to fit a cargo scanner. I scan a dozen or so ships to no avail. I thought what the hell, I'll go to Anlave and but the goods legally and see what happens. I open the bb at the target system and low and behold they take the cargo and I compete the mission.
Moral of the story?
1. Don't sell mission cargo
2. Just because the original goods were stolen doesn't mean the replacements required due to your own stupidity also need to be stolen.
