Future content Idea, Personal Freghters

ok so I'm kinda stealling an idea from No Man's sky here but how about being able to purchase and staff your own personal Freghter which you can store your cargo and previously purchased modules. you can land on/in them and deposit what you want. Being an extreamly large ship they could have minimum time requierments to move systems if called to make a balance so you don't just call, refuel and be on your way. you could also set the price to be in the billions to make a hard to get item. it would add a goal to players who get the top end ship and nothing to strive for have goal. Just an Idea.

It's an idea, alright. That's the most positive thing I can say about it.

I enjoy NMS, and even more so with the newest content release, but...

it's not the same game, or even the same kind of game. NMS is a more personal experience - it's as much a journey inward as it is across the stars.

As much as I'd love to see the sort of rich, colorful worlds of plant and animal life here in Elite, they don't exactly fit either. Finding a barren, uninhabited, "dead" world in NMS is more rare than chrome Orca.
Elite is full of them, and rightly so - Elite aims to mimic reality. NMS explores an alternate reality.

And that's not to say that NMS doesn't have elements I'd love to see here too - seamless transitions from space-station to space to atmosphere to surface, sub-aquatic exploration, terrain deformation, base-building - all of these things could come to Elite and only make it better, but only if they did so in a way that was uniquely Elite.
