Future Dlc idea: Rainforest Animal Pack

--WARNING--
(This is not a real pack, just my idea of a future pack)

The rainforests are one of the most diverse ecosystems on earth, discover its most wonderful creatures with the Planet zoo Rainforest animal pack!
These much-requested animals are made up of seven habitat species and one terrarium reptile, including the magnificent Sumatran Rhinoceros, the noisy Black Howler Monkey, the adorable Linnaeus Three-toed Sloth, the playful South American Coati, the agile Fossa, the curious red river hog and the fearsome nile crocodile. And last but not least, the Fiji Crested Iguana! One of the most endangered reptiles in the world!

d!

I'd replace the Sumatran Rhino with something like the Lar Gibbon so we get a primate, but other than that, great pack.

Nice pack.
Personally would switch mexican howler monkey for mexican spider monkey due to fact there are brachiation frames now.
Also apparently nile croc dont even live in forests according to iucn. IMO slender-snouted crocodile seems as good substitute.

I think a rainforest pack would be fun and in line with the conservation theme that seems to be present this year.

I'd substitute the rhino with another large ungulate, possibly a lowland anoa, as the rhino has no presence in zoos.
I'd substitute the fossa with an ocelot or margay, as their habitat is more restricted to rainforests (fossa lives in all kinds of forests).
I'd substitute the crocodile with a mantled guereza, which is more common in rainforests and still gives representation to Africa.

Sumatran rhinoceros is interesting case. Its not found anymore in western zoos, because rhino experts agreed numbers are so low that the best solution to save the species is to keep them inside Indonesia. Goal is to catch as much wild rhinos as possible and put them in captive-breeding programmes. Sumatran rhino sooner than later will became extcint in the wild and entire population will exist in special sanctuaries with constant human care.

In near future it will be only found in 3 confirmed sanctuaries each one having its captive group.

If things will be good there will be more captive groups and more rhinos will released back into the wild. And thanks to Cincinnati Zoo efforts in breeding&research outside native range some big zoos close to Sumatra would be able to obtain few of them after long absence. Maybe Perth and Taronga Zoo would be first due to their current efforts in sumatran rhino conservation (and being close to sumatra, if things will go wrong again)?

Mmm i would only substitute the croc for a tree kangaroo, and the exhibit animal for a snake or a chameleon.

What if Rainforest Animal Pack had animals found only tropical rainforest biome and nowhere else? (no dry forests as subtimal allowed, only wet forests)
Going by wishlist and including as much different locations as possible.
Main 4:
1. Linnaeu's Two-Toed Sloth (Amazon)
2. Godfellow's Tree Kangaroo (New Guinea)
3. Golden Lion Tamarin (Atlantic Rainforest)
4. Mexican Spider Monkey (Central American Rainforest)
Simple 3:
5. Lowland Anoa (Celebes)
6. Sumatran Rhino (Sumatra)
7. Zebra Duiker (West African Rainforest)
8. Island Day Gecko (Mayotte)

This would be a dream to be honest. I definitely hope Sumatran rhinos will be more common again and perhaps could be part of a Planet Zoo 2 as well if programmes are successful.

The pack is okay, but imo it could be much much better.
For one, its 3/3/1/1 for the continents, which could be quite a bit better.
Imo the best way would be a 2/2/2/2 with 2 for each of the 4 continents with large tropical areas.
Coati and the sloth are great Animals for south america and the red river hog for africa, but i would rearange the rest to fit the continents and taxonomic diversity.
Right now we got a small arboreal carnivore, a sloth and an ungulate, so we defenetly need a monkey. Guess who also would be pretty much complete with a monkey?
If your answer was tropical africa, you got the same conclusion as i did. Literally any small monkey + the red river hog would leave tropical africa in an a okay state with no more needs to be revisted. Because of its popularity, the mantled guereza would be a great pick, but any cool guenon like the de brazas monkey is also fair game.
For Tropical australia the obvious answer is a marsupial, with the tree kangaroo being the most prominen choice. For another popular and common pick from new guinea, the victorias crowned pidgeon would be a beautiful mostly terrestrial bird thats often free roaming in tropical houses and a great way to fill up our lacking bird variety.
Lastly for Asia, the largest continent with the smallest amount of exhibit after europe literally any exhibit animal would work. For the habitat animal, a diving animal would be nice, so my choice would be the fishing cat. We also still lack small cats, so with these charismatic critters that complaint would also grow smaller.

So in summary:
South America:
1. South American Coati
2. Linneuas Two Toed Sloth
Africa:
3. Red River Hog
4. Mantled Guereza
Australia:
5. Tree Kangaroo
6. Victorians Crowned Pidgeon
Asia:
7. Fishing cat
8. Exhibit Animals

I want the European Bison in-game so much!!! BUT it is absolutely not a tropical rainforest animal. It lives in about the furthest places from a tropical rainforest.
