future features for this game?

i just wondered if anyone know if the devs have planned to add in featuring elements such as the possibility to create a gang/clan in game.
(im not talking about the wing system)

what i mean with clan/gang system is that you can create a group where you can give it your own name. and get tons of members in it and that you etc will be able to find all the members from the clan/gang on the map etc instead of creating a wingteam that only supports 4 players.


i want to know this just because if this is a feature that is planned. then i plan to make the teamspeak server that i decided to host for this comunity ready for that update. featuring private gang/clan rooms in the teamspeak

Some people are going to give you the answer that "this will never be in Elite", but the truth is that we don't know. We do know that the devs are a bit against having traditional guild mechanics, but who knows...some sort of bigger groups might still come along. Maybe by aligning yourself to a local faction in the game. Pledging allegiance so to speak. Everyone aligned with that faction might then be considered "friends" and part of the same group by the game.

Do a search. The function is there to be used. There are literally thousands of threads on upcoming feature requests and a couple of definitive threads with what will ACTUALLY be coming.

I doubt you'd get this though. What you are asking for equates to a faction in game and we already have those as part of the universe so....but you can still create a group didn't you know this? From main menu. You can then play in private group.

You can do this now. Why do people need a game to allow them to do something nowadays? Its a big galaxy and you're free to do what you want. Gamers never used to need their hands holding through everything.

Faction aligned guilds would be sweet. Pilots were never meant to conjure up the resources to support this kind of stuff. But with actual worlds in the back, you would be given an incentive not to have them flipped over. Then it all makes sense in the end. But now I'm daydreaming. Sorry. Bog standard guilds and support of such is at any rate not quite available in the immediate future AFAIK. One of the things is the hybrid online system, bandwith might be part of the equation.

i only understood half of your reply. but as i stated above. this topic was just a simple question. theres no voting, and theres not gonna be one either.
