G Force Experience Recording

It was working OK. Press Alt + F10 to record the last 5 minutes. The last couple of times I tried, I can see the game pause for a second while it saves the file, but I can't find the files on My PC. I'm trying to show what happens when my game crashes in the CZ. Is it because of the crash that the file isn't saved?

If windows 7 :

Try opening resmon.exe and see what is the drive doing while you record.

Have a look at the Disk tab, Select the Geforce experience process in the Processes with Disk activity part, then go down and click on Write(B/sec) to sort the process writing. Recording should be very high in the list.

You should get the filename looking at geforce experience's line.
I selected Elite because i do not have gf XP installed atm

Maybe your shadowplay doesn't work at all. The game pauses (well, stutters), because Alt+F10 is a shortcut for a 4K screenshot.

I've been using Shadowplay, or Share as it's called now, for ages. When I do f10 for a screenshot, there's no pause. I only get the pause when I use alt + f10 for the 5 mins recorded video, which takes a bit longer to save. As I've been using it for a while, I know where it used to save the videos, but I didn't find the last ones there nor anywhere else. I was just wondering if anybody else has experienced something similar or whether I missed some change. I never tried to record a crash before. maybe that's it!

F10 is normal screenshot. But if you play in Solo or group, Alt+F10 makes a 4K screenshot, no matter what your resolution is and it pauses the game just like you described while it's rendering. That's why this was my first thought.

Anyway, if you recently updated to the newest version of nVidia Experience, check your settings. It may have been reset.

Alt + F10 has always and is still the nVidia keystroke to record the last 5 minutes. It was working a couple of weeks ago. Can anybody else confirm whether it still works?

Hasn't worked for me since hey released the new version of GFX. There's another thread on the subject that offers some workarounds, but I haven't tried any since recording video isn't a priority for me.

It works for me, but I have remapped the keys to Alt+F2 and Alt+F3 to not interfere with other things, like taking 4K images like described above.
My advice is to check two things:
a) Keymapping in G Force Experience
b) Your Elite: Dangerous picture folder, and check for very large images. If you have some of those, then chances are you're taking pictures when it stutters. The game never stutters for me when saving 5min videos, but it does stutter when I take 4K pictures.
