Yes, done that.

Ship stops at it's 'top speed' what's stopping it going faster?

lol!!

You guys really do take it seriously, is this all you have in your lives?

Speed limit is most likely artificial. This might actually be life saving, as it stops you from killing yourself by G-Force.

You said lol, so your argument is a troll post.

Anyone remember UFO from the 70's?
The aliens all wore suits that were full of a liquid that they breathed instead of air.
If we ever get to decent speeds in space the chances are we will have to be housed in something similar to stop our relatively puny bodies falling apart at the first change of velocity.
No wonder that I remember reading years ago that squids had the best biology for space travel... :D

Blackout when hauling the nose up in a Viper under full boost - check.

But have you noticed that the high-negative-gee effect is, in fact, a nice red-out?

:D

There isn't a cat-in-hells chance that humans will be sat in aircraft pulling triggers in AD 3300.
It will be all done by computer, ...

I agree.
Commercial airliners are already flown by computers for 99% of the time. Trains, cars and other road transports are next.
In 20 years we'll be wondering who the hell thought it was a good idea to let humans fly/drive these incredibly dangerous things.
Personally I can't wait for it.
I very much look forward to the time when I can stumble out of a friend's house and my S class rolls up to take me home.
At the moment it just sits there doing nothing until I make it go.
Tsk.
