Engineers G5 Dirty Drives upgrade

Hi, im about an hour or so from starting my 1st lvl 5 upgrade, I have seen a few videos but still dont understand the nitty gritty part, in a nut shell what parts of the upgrade do I need to focus on?

optimal mass as close to base stat as possible, and Optimal multiplier as high as you can.

Things like mass increase and power draw etc to make sure you not nerf your FSD or have no power to run the ship.

I think it went ok, from stock 7D thrusters P/R/Yaw 25/60/17 now im getting 32.50/78/22 and thrust stock 200 boost 280 now im getting 260 boost 364 jump range is the same but a slightly higher consumption on energy
