Engineers G5 Fast Scan Mod for KWS is Awesome

My Anaconda now has a KWS (C0) that scans in 2.82 seconds while the range was reduced from 3 km to 2.2 km. My FDL now has a KWS (C0) that scans in 2 seconds while the range was reduced to 2150m!

This mod is awesome. I can now complete a KWS scan before the basic scanner will tell me if the target is clean or not. It's also great (on the FDL) for quickly scanning hostile wingmates as you engage them rather than having to do it before hand. 3 Eagles - 2 Elite, 1 Deadly - scan and KWS the first one. Open fire. Pop. Switch to next hostile. Scan and pop. Switch to 3rd, scan and pop!

The speed is so addictive, that I've actually (only twice so far) fallen back into the bad habit of firing on someone *I* know is wanted before the scanner tells me so.

now get a multicrew gunner to operate it with 360° coverage

to bad there is still no notification to the helm that the gunner has finished the KWS scan at all :(

I've also just switched the FDL's 4A Sensors from G5 Lightweight to G5 Long Range. I lost 1 ly in jump range, but my sensors now have a maximum range of 12.84 km and typical emission range detection of 11 km.

I'm spotting stuff and long range, charging in, scanning, and blowing them up before they even know I'm there. Oh, it is fun!

i am still struggling with the idea of having a long-range KWS for multicrew, once i get into a corvette, so my gunner can scan everything thats on the sensors. But then, i was also told by my gunner, that he has to keep the target under the auto-lock-reticle the whole scan time or he needs to restart (i was never gunner myself)
 
i have my fast KWS-scanner in my primary firegroup - time on target and time to kill are above 2,3 seconds both. why scan first, than shoot?
 
It seems a waste of engineers materials when you can make it fully automatic for nothing. Just bind it to the caps lock or num lock key. Switch it on when you drop out and forget about it, as it will scan all the ships you kill while you're shooting them.

Oh. My. God. So much this. You blew my mind...... If only stuff lasted the full 10 seconds I need with a stock scanner but fast scan or long range added to this would work
