Gabriels Hideout. Found a named planet right next to the permit areas around the horsehead nebula.

Ive never come across a random named planet before so I thought I would post this.. Its landable and its a power blue icy surface quite lovely infact. 1.3gs at the surface

Location : Trapezium Sector AZ-1 C1 a8 planet out binary system with a A 9 gas giant ring system
has 2 rings about 10 hotspots between them.

Isn't it possible that there's a hidden POI there? Weren't there some POIs that only showed up on a scanner when you were in the atmosphere and close enough to them?

It's close enough to populated space that it doesn't seem wildly out of place, but still might be worth a look...

Wasn't there a promotion/contest involving bids at the 3.0 opening? Seem to remember signing up for a drawing to get one of three different naming rights. Planet, Station, something else.

As near as I can tell (via my excellent skills at typing things into Google) this is the first time anyone's mentioned the existence of this world. The system isn't in EDSM yet, either. Has anything in the system been Tagged?

I have always assumed that a logical way to obtain a distant permit-locked-sector permit is to visit a remote uncharted outpost on the sector's border, and do some kind of rescue-the-princess quest to obtain the permit. But no-one's ever found such an outpost... until now, maybe?

Second, I don't suppose the eighth moon of that gas giant has any secrets? We might want to make the Dark Wheel / Raxxla-hunters aware of this.

I was there months ago - mentioned on discord or something. Thought I mapped it 🤔

Looks like the planet was named for Mike, but he wanted Gabriel, so the game got updated but Edsm isn't getting it 🤷‍♀️

Edit: Ah, CMDR Delmonte spotted it 1st June this year, though I'm sure others will come forward

Ah, that was the problem - a missing letter in the OP's post, which I copy-pasted into the EDSM search bar.

Haha! Just the rumor now that Raxxla may be lurking in there will be enough to make the Oklahoma land rush look like a friendly sack race. There are gonna be Condas and Kraits everywhere.
