Ships Gah! Really dislike this craft!

I have had my T6 for about a week now and really dislike it. The thing I dislike about it is the engine placement. I mean who likes to have 2 roaring engines on either side of the head?!? Every time I go to slow down, I get a roaring in my ears that I really dislike. The designer of this craft must have been deaf or became deaf shortly after flying it!

I can't wait to get the creds to buy a better craft...

Best transporter in the game. You will love this little thing soon believe me.

configure it for what it is, i.e don't waste your time and mass with shields, weapons etc. Put it all in to cargo space (you'll have over 100), and thrusters to boost away quickly when interdicted. It's a surprisingly quick little ship and cheap to replace should you be unlucky enough to lose it. Don't be scared of running without shields. I've done over 100m credits trading in an unshielded T6 and T7 and have never lost a ship. Your biggest concern running an unshielded transporter is making a mistake when docking.

Think of landing pad size. This is the biggest transporter that can land on any pad size, unless you're using a Python as a transporter. Remember the next stage (up a Type 7) will mean you can only land at half as many systems. Stay out at the edges of the occupied system where they have the small mining / refinery platforms and trade beryllium, gold etc and you'll make a fortune very quickly, and safely too as you get very few human players out on the edges (if you're playing Open).

I loved my T6. One guy is even going to Sag A in a T6!!! Although i think that's a bit mental. :)

also : if you have a Rift, standing up in the cockpit of the T6 while in SC is phenomenal. Best VR cockpit *ever* :)
I love my T6.

It made me cry to fly it. My van in real life is nicer! Same applies to the t7. The only trader I like is the python, but I haven't flown a conda yet.

I've just sold mine for a vulture, not given up on trading just yet but I'm going to BH and Combat my way to a T7 or a clipper. It became too much of a grind in the T6 for not much return.

Omg! Was it you?!

I'm actually not the first. The T6 has a cult following among explorers. ;)

Here's my exploration videos via T6 :)

As a cheap explorer (before the Diamondbacks came along) the T6 is hard do beat. It holds everything you need and does the job. Plus that Lakon cockpit provides great views if you're using head tracking.

It's not a combat ship, but it does what you need it to. With the right loadout you can run away from most fights and keep just a basic class 3 shield for unforeseen accidents (ie becoming station wall pizza)

I made it to Pioneer in a T6 and plan on getting to Elite in one as well (with only a few dozen planets scanned via Cobra or Clipper within the human bubble).

T6 is amazing for it's pricetag.

112 tons of carrying capability, medium pad requirement, nimble and rather quick with a good jumprange.

Plus the thrusters are cool as hell.

Agreed! Love the T6! Very versatile. I sold my explorer T6 for a Diamondback Explorer and was ready to go back to a T6 at the end of my trip. Then the ship/outfitting discount in Lembeva started and I could afford an Asp.

Oh, I'm not arguing with you that it is a good craft. I saw the video of the T6 explorer and thought that was pretty neat. I just really don't like the loudness of the retro-thrusters. I'm the guy that likes a quiet engine/exhaust in everything. =D

I love having those engines up close....opens window of his T6 pokes out a long stick with a marshmellow on the end and applies a smidge of reverse thrust.... mmmmm......great for those lonely mining missions
