Gaining wanted status from a SLF

I'm digging the new C&P system, but I just became wanted from my weapons hitting a SLF as my target Gunship launched it. Shouldn't it be automatic that a SLF from a wanted target spawn with the same status? Is this working as intended or should I report it as a bug?

Ran into that bug as well, and yes it is a bug that has returned. I was fighting a wanted Gunship in a HighRes when it rolled over and deployed it's fighter just as some plasma rounds hit it. Insta-bounty and I was chased out by my own faction police [noob]

Didn't see it in the "Known Bugs" thread or a bug report about it.

...

At least I found where my HazRes went after that. It decided to move over to the other ringed planet in the system for whatever reason [haha].

This was supposed to be fixed:

  • Fixed an issue where players could be penalised for attacking the Ship Launched Fighter of a Wanted mothership

... but it's an issue that has been cropping up now and then since the Guardians update, so I guess we just need to keep reporting it and at some point Frontier will have dealt with all the edge cases.

Another issue related to this just happened to me. I'm working on the CG in LFT 1442 and I was engaged with a wanted Anaconda, who's SLF was also reading as wanted. I flew away from it for a few minutes to regenerate my shields, but kept it within sensor range. When I re-engaged it, I became wanted. <facepalm>
