Gal Map so slow!

So... I'm only 5k from Sol but the Galaxy Map is so slow! It's taking an age to calculate a route of only two jumps. The map is lagging/stuttering as I'm looking around, it takes ages for the lines to show up between systems (I use them to plan my routes) and there's very noticeable delays when creating and choosing bookmarks.

I'll excuse the extended time a jump takes because I guess that has something to do with increased server use and FDev not considering this with release of megaships. But why is the map so slow?

Exploration is one of the few activities I can enjoy (for many reasons) and now game issues is making even this a drag!

I surely hope so. Exploring is how I'm earning enough to buy a carrier.

Codger is so right.
yesterday I crash to desktop three times never done that before. I did the training stuff for an hour and it went away I think.
