Need to institute a galactic lottery. Seems easy enough. Payouts to be determined.
Also, certain stations (megaships?) have casinos. 10K to play.
Outlawed in some factions (Federation/Empire) more common in Pirate or Independent systems.
Dangerous to get to, or get out of to collect your winnings.
Win a paint job, fuzzy dice bobble, decal or rares.
Winning lottery [yesnod]number posted on GalNet along with winning commander if successfully claimed.

Just a thought.

Gambling? What? I mean murder, smuggling, Onion Head and slave running are all OK, but gambling is not something we should be tempting our younger players with.

OK, I jest. If it is run by the game and not by the players, then why not. After all most of the things we do in this game, is a gamble.

Just have it so that there is the typical 'over 18' restriction on that feature...it's inaccessible to younger players whilst providing a fun feature for us more mature audiences ;)

Hmmm...high roller games would be nice. winning paint jobs would be cool too...especially in the Galnet lotto. a galactic wide lottery is sure to be a gamble ripe with rewards :)
